Frequently asked questions

What does Encoder Technologies build?

Custom software, SaaS platforms, web and mobile applications, AI and machine-learning features, APIs and backend systems, and business automation. EncoderPOS — our own POS and business management platform — is the public example of how we build.

What type of businesses do you work with?

Startups building a first product, SMEs whose operation has outgrown spreadsheets, and established companies replacing or extending internal systems. We work with clients in Pakistan and remotely with teams internationally.

Do you build SaaS products?

Yes. Multi-tenant architecture, roles and permissions, subscription plans and operator tooling. We run EncoderPOS as a multi-tenant SaaS ourselves, so the questions that arise after launch — plan changes, migrations across live tenants, support tooling — are ones we have already had to answer.

Can you build AI-powered applications?

Yes, scoped to a decision someone actually makes: demand forecasting, document and invoice extraction, classification, anomaly detection, and assistants that answer over your own records under existing permissions with citations. Every model ships with an evaluation set so accuracy is measured rather than claimed.

Do you develop mobile apps?

Yes — Android and iOS from one React Native codebase, built against the same APIs as the web product. Where work happens away from reliable signal, we design for offline capture and reconciliation from the start.

Can you work with an existing application?

Yes. We extend and stabilise existing Laravel, PHP, Node, .NET and WordPress codebases, add documented APIs on top of databases already in production, and replace brittle systems in stages so the business keeps running during the transition.

What technologies do you use?

Laravel, PHP, Node.js, Python and .NET on the backend; Next.js, React, Vue, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS on the front end; React Native for mobile; PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, SQLite and Redis for data; PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Pandas and OpenCV for AI; Docker, Linux, Git, AWS, Azure and DigitalOcean for infrastructure.

How long does software development take?

A focused first version is typically weeks rather than months; a full operational platform is a staged programme measured in months. We give a range after discovery rather than a number before it, because an estimate made without knowing volumes, users and integrations is a guess.

Do you provide long-term support?

Yes. Operational software is never finished. Ongoing engagements cover updates, monitoring, backups with a tested restore, performance work and continued development of the next module.

How do we start a project?

Send the contact form with what you are building, improving or automating, your timeline, and a budget range if you have one. We review it — usually within a working day — and reply with whether we are a fit, what we would need to estimate, and a proposed next conversation.
